Today I found a “cute” little one. Made me imagine a whole collection of these on a shelve in a living room.
Let’s get to it.
Mexican designer Moisés Hernández delights us with his distinct flare for minimalism in this new series of avian sculptures titled Immersed Birds. Each piece is a continuous wooden object milled with CNC technology which is then dipped into a carefully considered sequence of watercolors. The overlaying hues mimic the plumage of a toucan, hummingbird, and Mexican quetzal.
These things look soo smooth and “touchy”. I think the wood makes them “wharm”.
You can see more of Hernández’s work on Instagram.
