Tokyo Storefront by Mateusz Urbanowicz

Almost the end of the week. Only two more posts and done. It’s been challenging to seek out and search the web every day, double the time, and write to this community but it’s been rewarding. I would love to do this kind of thing once in a while. Maybe something more scheduled probably.

Today Tokyo-based artist and animator Mateusz Urbanowicz mesmerizes us with a set of amazing illustrations. As he says, upon moving to Tokyo from Kobe, he started to photograph and illustrate these character-filled downtown houses and stores in Tokyo. And let me tell you in advance they are awesome.

For starts, I love watercolor illustrations. I think the grain in the paper and the transparency in the ink always makes a pleasant outcome. Now the second really cool thing about this series, Mateusz is also a Youtuber and these illustrations are available for you to watch on his channel so pop-up in there and take a look.

Here is the link. Mateusz Channel.
