TienMin (廖恬敏) is a New York based graphic designer with a focus on bilingual lettering and logotype design. She recently completed the Postgraduate certificate program in typeface design at The Cooper Union in 2015. Though currently working full-time as a Senior Designer at Siegel+Gale, she’s always juggling lots of side projects in her spare time. Her work has been featured in many design portals, magazines and design annuals, also been profiled in “Asian Creatives: 150 Most Promising Talents” by PIE Books (Japan).
And this project is an ongoing project exploring 100 styles of bilingual lettering.
The “字”means “type” in Chinese and Japanese.
And everybody knows I love type. I wish I had the time to start AND finish a project like this. It’s going to be very interesting to follow her work and see what styles she comes up with.
She’s always interested in side projects and collaboration.
